Question 1 week of 7-13

Yes, there are group norms at SJSU. Sororities, fraternities, sports teams, clubs, ect. all have group norms. The nature of each group is different. Each group stand for different values, and ethics. And even in certain sororities and sports teams for example, each group may have a completely contrastive set of rules. Personally in my small group at work, (I work at a daycare) we have a boss, the leader assigns tasks to certain individuals, but others already have their tasks set. One member is in charge of the reception work, another is in charge of art/crafts, another monitors the children during pre-k. We all have our group norms. As a new comer to the team about a year ago I adapted to the group gradually, it took everyone time to get used to myself as a new comer and the loss of their old member. I had to adopt my own place in the group, instead of taking the old group members place, and certain obligated tasks.
